If you can't tolerate normal cannula points in your nose, this IS the answer. I tape the tubes onto my cheeks to hole everything into position better.
Most nasal cannulas make your nose run constantly. Also, they chill the nose. This new low flow nasal oxy doesn't go in the nose. It's outside the nose and doesn't make the nose cold or run. Also it allows oxygen to enter both the noise and mouth. However, when placed on your upper lip area it sometimes has edges that scratch the bottom of your nose. I file the edges to make them smoother. One side also seems to be smoother.
I loved the opening for air flow yet the plastic was too hard and for some reason it weighed heavier behind my ears that the other type. I’ve been on oxygen for 4 years and I’ve tried everything but I will keep trying
